    Our Role
    Mechanical Design & Thermal Modelling

  • The University of Wales Trinity Saint David commissioned us to support the £10m refurbishment of an existing building in Canary Wharf into modern teaching and student spaces.

The project required a careful upgrade of the mechanical systems to deliver optimal environmental comfort, energy efficiency, and compliance with current building standards.

The brief included full mechanical design and thermal modelling, with the aim of creating a flexible, high-performance space suitable for teaching, study, and student life.

Our role was to provide innovative yet practical solutions that could integrate into the existing building fabric while supporting the University’s long-term plans for expansion and enhanced campus facilities.

  • This refurbishment demonstrates the importance of precise mechanical design and thermal analysis in transforming existing buildings into high-performance teaching and student environments.

By delivering practical, future-proofed solutions, we enhanced comfort, efficiency, and operational resilience across the campus. The project’s success has not only established a flagship presence for the University of Wales in London but also laid the groundwork for planned expansion into additional student accommodation. It highlights our ability to combine detailed engineering expertise with a strategic approach to campus development, ensuring projects meet both immediate and long-term institutional needs.
