The Team.

  • MEng (Hons), CEng, MCIBSE

As one of the Founding Directors at Design Foundry MEP Ltd, and with over 15 years of experience at one of the UK’s largest M&E consultancies, I am dedicated to ensuring the success of every project.

I strongly believe that the built environment plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of people’s lives and shaping the landscapes they inhabit. I am passionate about creating integrated designs that consider how people interact with their surroundings and the long-term impact on the environment.

I maintain that engineers must operate as integral members of a collaborative team, delivering sustainable buildings while addressing all other essential requirements of a project.

  • BEng (Hons), CEng, PhD, MIET, CIBSE

As one of the Founding Directors at Design Foundry MEP Ltd, I am responsible for the successful delivery of projects.

With a proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget, I am committed to listening to clients’ needs and ensuring effective results. My extensive experience in MEP design, combined with practical installation expertise, ensures that all design proposals are both practical and efficient.

After completing my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, I joined a leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping (MEP) services consultancy in 2001. I am also a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET), reflecting my commitment to the highest professional standards.

  • MEng (Hons), CEng MCIBSE, Certified Passivhaus Designer

I began my career in architecture, where I spent over a decade developing a strong understanding of design, detailing and the built environment before moving into building services engineering.

Since then, I’ve worked across mechanical design, energy strategy, and building physics analysis, supporting the delivery of low-energy and high-performance buildings. I hold a master’s degree in Architectural Engineering and am a Chartered Engineer through CIBSE.

I’m also a Certified Passivhaus Designer, CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant and qualified Energy Assessor (levels 3–5), allowing me to bring a strong focus on energy performance and sustainability to every stage of design.

  • HNC, TMIET

As an Associate at Design Foundry MEP Ltd, I serve as an electrical project lead, overseeing resource planning and coordinating the delivery efforts of the electrical team.

This leadership role complements my primary focus on designing electrical systems, ensuring that each design is both highly effective and closely aligned with clients’ needs.

With a background in electrical contracting, I transitioned into project management before furthering my education at the University of Plymouth. Since joining Design Foundry in 2022, I have combined my prior expertise with a strong enthusiasm for creative problem-solving.

  • MEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering

I work as a Mechanical Engineer, combining a strong focus on technical design with an interest in how systems and components come together in practice. My approach emphasises attention to detail, precision, and creative problem-solving.

Alongside my engineering work, I am also a practising artist, producing cityscape paintings that reflect a similar focus on structure, perspective, and composition. This creative perspective often informs the way I approach design challenges in engineering projects.

After completing my Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham, including a year in industry, I gained experience in product design and validation at Cummins CES. I joined Design Foundry in late 2025, where I contribute to multidisciplinary projects, applying both technical expertise and a creative mindset to deliver practical and well-considered solutions.

  • I joined Design Foundry MEP Ltd in 2026 as an apprentice at the beginning of my career in the construction and engineering industry. With a practical background and several years of experience working in fast-paced environments, I bring a strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-focused approach to the role.

  • BSc (Hons), IEng, ACIBSE

Since joining the industry in 2001, I have been lucky to work on a great number of projects providing me with the opportunity to become multi skilled in many aspects of mechanical design engineering.

I began my training in a medium sized, multidisciplinary practice as a mechanical engineer. During this time, I gained my BSc (Hons) degree in Building Services Engineering and subsequent IEng registration from UWE – The University of the West of England.

I offer extensive knowledge and design experience skills from concept right through to realisation. Utilising innovative problem solving based upon good practice and practical experience enables me to yield cost effective designs.

  • BEng (Hons)

I specialise in the design of mechanical systems for buildings, with a strong focus on delivering optimised user comfort, energy efficiency, and sustainability here at Design Foundry MEP Ltd.

My expertise includes performing detailed calculations and utilising advanced modelling software.

After earning my BEng in Mechanical Engineering, I began my career in 2019 at a prominent Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services consultancy, where I gained extensive experience in diverse building services projects. In 2022, I joined Design Foundry, where I continue to lead and contribute to multidisciplinary projects across a variety of sectors.

  • I am an apprentice engineer, currently studying Building Services Level 3 at Exeter College while training to become a skilled electrical technician. I am passionate about developing practical, hands-on experience in the field and applying what I learn to real-world projects. I am eager to grow my expertise in electrical systems and contribute to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions as part of a professional team.

  • BSc (Hons) Architectural Engineering

I recently graduated from the University of Plymouth with First-Class Honours in Architectural Engineering, building a strong foundation in building systems, sustainable design strategies, and digital engineering.

During my studies, I completed a year-long placement with Design Foundry MEP Ltd, working on MEP design, energy performance analysis, and environmental modelling. This included designing low-temperature hot water and cooling systems, producing BIM models, and carrying out Part L compliance assessments.

Passionate about low-energy and sustainable buildings, I combine technical skills in BIM, IES modelling, and CAD with a collaborative approach, aiming to deliver efficient, future-ready designs that respond to the climate emergency.

  • I am in my first year at Exeter College, where I am studying a Level 3 National Diploma in Building Services Engineering. Since joining Design Foundry MEP Ltd in September 2025 as an apprentice, I've been supporting the team by applying my practical skills and technical knowledge directly to live projects.

  • I joined Design Foundry MEP Ltd as an Electrical Technician while in my first year at Exeter College. I have since completed my Level 3 Apprenticeship and am now an Engineer. In 2024 I won the Exeter College Technical & Professional Apprentice of the Year for outstanding performance and commitment.
