    Our Role
Complete MEP design for an eco-friendly timber cabin.

  • Support the delivery of a new timber-framed community cabin at Poole Farm through sustainable MEP design. The Paddock Cabin will serve as a flexible, off-grid-ready space for youth activities, nature-based education, and eco-therapy. MEP systems needed to align with the project's ecological goals, including minimal ground disturbance, low operational impact, and use of renewable or passive technologies. Key features to accommodate included a green roof, rainwater harvesting, and stilted construction to maintain grazing access beneath the structure.

  • This project demonstrates how thoughtful MEP design can enable low-impact architecture. We helped integrate passive design principles and low-energy systems to ensure year-round comfort without compromising environmental performance. Our input on rainwater harvesting, natural ventilation strategies, and future-proofed service routes supports the cabin’s role as a resilient, nature-first space for community use. It’s a modest project, but one that shows how aligned design and engineering can deliver real ecological sensitivity.
